Indonesia's state electricity company (PLN) recently commissioned a 362 kW
floating solar mounting system project featuring our G4M floating system at a reservoir in South Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The G4M system utilizes HDPE floaters. The panel supports are constructed from carbon steel coated with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium anti-corrosion layer, and were also painted for aesthetics per the client's request. The system's modular design is suited for the reservoir's conditions, accommodating water depths up to 60 meters and fluctuating water levels.
To ensure stability in the deep-water environment, a specialized point-to-point mooring system with gravity anchor blocks was implemented. The installation team efficiently completed the component and anchor setup within 30 days, meeting the grid connection deadline.
PLN expressed satisfaction with Mibet's project execution efficiency and technical support. This successful collaboration establishes a strong foundation for potential future partnerships on larger floating solar projects, including a proposed 135MW plant.
